Font rendering quality, any way to improve?

See the attached image, left label is IE, right label is Chrome, is there any way to improve the way Chrome renders this text, or is that just the way it's going to be?

Hi Chuck,

This is a known Chrome-related issue when an SVG with rotated text element is rendered - I am afraid there is no way to avoid it. Here is the bug report on the Chronium bug tracker.
