Is there an option to have the currency symbol on a textbox (or a column in a table/crosstab item) either fixed or floating.  See attached image.  The screenshot is from Crystal Report.  In fixed format, the currency symbol is left aligned while the number is right aligned, which will give a look like an accounting book.

Fixed: Floating:
$ 1,000,000 $1,000,000
$        1,000        $1,000
$    210,000    $210,000
$             50     $50
------------------- --------------
$ 1,211,050 $1,211,050
------------------- --------------

Hi mandeep,

We did not find any screenshots attached to this thread, note that allowed extensions are: .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, and .png. Currently the built-in way via expression to format numbers as currency will display them as what you refer to as "float". Although there is no out of the box functionality for fixed characters in a TextBox, you can easily simulate such layout with two TextBoxes - one for the currency and one for the actual data.

All the best,

Obviously, the admin is a little slow, but did you ever get a response to this?

Hi Kevin,

You can set the currency format in TextBox.Format property. The value will be formatted according to the culture settings - Report Globalization.

Additionally, from my colleague's answer it seems that both floated and fixed approaches are covered.
