Using ControlDefault theme.
The first row appears selected when not.

With RadGridView1
     .MasterGridViewTemplate.EnableGrouping = True
     .MasterGridViewTemplate.EnableFiltering = True
     .EnableHotTracking = True
     .MultiSelect = True
     .ReadOnly = True
     .ShowItemToolTips = True
     .MasterGridViewTemplate.AllowAddNewRow = False
     .MasterGridViewTemplate.AllowDeleteRow = False
     .MasterGridViewTemplate.AllowEditRow = False
     .MasterGridViewTemplate.AutoGenerateColumns = True
    ...
     .MasterGridViewTemplate.LoadFrom(command.ExecuteReader())
     command.Connection.Close()
     .MasterGridViewTemplate.AutoSizeColumnsMode = Telerik.WinControls.UI.GridViewAutoSizeColumnsMode.Fill
     .GridElement.EndUpdate()
     .SelectedRows.Clear() 'Don't want any rows selected by default
End With

Hello Finn,

Thank you for contacting us.

In its default theme RadGridView uses the same color to indicate when a row is selected and when it is the current row in the data source. You can hide the CurrentRow by setting it to Nothing. Consider the code snippet below:

Me.RadGridView1.CurrentRow = Nothing

I hope this helps. Do not hesitate to write me if you have other suggestions.

Kind regards,
Jack
