FilterExpression Sample?

I had used a filter in one place in my app and with the latest update it stopped working. So, I looked through the entire solution for WinForms RadControls 2Q2010 and did not see any examples. The one example was commented out without any explanation. This looks like something that could be useful but I need a simple example to get started. Thanks.
