Hello,

I was wondering if the Export functionality is disabled with the Trial Version of the reporting. I am able to get a report to show up but if I click on the dropdown that is supposed to have the export options in it then it throws this error:

An unhandled exception ('Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application
Code: 4004
Category: ManageRuntimeError
MEssage: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException: [Line: 0 Position: 0]

I'm using Silverlight 4, .Net 4, Entity Framework 4.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Brett Rose

Hi Brett Rose,

The Trial version of Telerik Reporting is fully functional with the only difference that it has a trial message.
The Telerik Silverlight viewer is build against Silverlight 3 and problems when using other versions are expected. You should install Silverlight SDK 3 in order to use the viewer. Silverlight 4 is in our plans but we cannot engage with a timeframe at this point, and it is likely that we go that route once it goes official.

Anyway there was a similar problem that slipped into the 317 internal build and you've might had hit that. Please upgrade both Telerik Reporting and RadControls for Silverlight to their latest internal builds respectively v. 4.0.10.329 for Telerik Reporting and v. 2010.1.326.1030 for RadControls for Silverlight. In fact one you install the latest Telerik Reporting build, you can use the RadControls assemblies available in C:\Program Files\Telerik\Reporting Q1 2010\Examples\CSharp\SilverlightDemo\bin

Do you expect to have a Silverlight 4 release by at least June because thats around the time my company has to release this product.

Also the version you told me to download isn't there. This is the only version up to download and it is missing dlls for Telerick.Windows.Controls.Input and a few others.:
RadControls_for_Silverlight4RC_2010_1_0402_Trial.zip

and the Silverlight Report Viewer dll didn't seem to be included in:
Telerik_Reporting_2010_1_10_329_TRIAL.msi

Which kinda leaves me stuck because I really need the report viewer in order to continue working on my project...

Hi Brett Rose,

Silverlight 4 support is in our TODO list for the next release (2010 Q2). As soon as we are ready we will release an internal build/beta version for you to test.

All the best,
