Hello Ali Iybar,
Unfortunately, this functionality is not available at the moment. It is definitely on our ToDo list but we are unable to give you a timeframe for its implementation at this time.
Thank you for your time.
Kind regards,

Hello Dimitar,
Your answer regarding the possibility of direct export of Win Grid contents to Excel was placed here about two months ago.
Are you meanwhile able to give me a timeframe when this functionality will be supported? This is one of the "must-have's" for an application me and my team are currently about to develop.
Thank You in advance!

Hi MGL,
Unfortunately we are still way from approving a certain time frame for this feature. We are currently addressing much more serious issues like performance and stability. I believe this is our core goal for Q2 2007 release. We will consider new enhancements and features afterwards.

Was this implemented in 2007 Q2 as your goal was?

Hello Lovsten,
We implemented such functionality based on MS Office PIA assemblies. The export functionality is provided as a standalone assembly called TelerikData at the moment. It has a single Export method that takes an RadGridView instance as a parameter. Given the very short time-frame (one quarter release) we managed only to provide export based on using MS Office COM objects through PIA assemblies. This means that you must have MS Office and MS Office PIAs installer in order to accomplish the export task. Also the export is printing optimized (black & white) at the moment. We have serious plans on providing true Excel and PDF export capabilities, but it is a company-wide effort and is related with our reporting team also so I’ am unable to provide you with a specific time-frame for implementing native export capabilities for RadGridView. Other than that in our QuickStart application you will find under the RadGridView category an example named "Export to Excel".
All the best,
