Hello!
I'm trying to figure out how do some fancy  grouping of columns AND rows.
Any pointers how can I archive results as in attached image?

This is a quote from my answer in the support thread.

Some of the requirements in the screenshot could be achieved with Kendo UI Grid. For example specifying complex column header templates on several rows. For your convenience I prepared a sample project to demonstrate this. Regarding the fancy rows spanned on 2-3 levels, this is currently not supported. Nevertheless the Kendo UI Grid offers a Row template option, which is demonstrated in the following demo.

If you consider that we may work in this direction and provide a more customizable rows and grouping, I would suggest you to post it as a feature request in our Kendo User Voice portal. If it becomes popular among the community, we will consider to implement it in future releases of Kendo UI.
