Our company report the export issue with special characters and implemented the solution which has work great, thank you, until now.

Telerik wrote a custom JS method for us as a workaround but it doesn't appear to cover every case,
We wanted to know if any long term fixes been made to deal with every case for special characters ... we are currently using version
Kendo UI v2017.3.1026
Any insight would be appreciated

The Kendo UI Excel export current version strips the characters below and preserves new lines:
The major thing that we have dome with the Excel Export actually addresses the new Date format that Chrome introduced in version 67 so if you are exporting dates, I would highly recommend you to upgrade. More about it in the issue at:

Let me know in case we should extend the number of characters that are stripped (e.g. a corrupted Excel file is created) and I can consult with the team once again.
