Hi
I have a report with several groups. My problem is when I try to copy a text box from another group (region) on the report and past it into the new group. I get the error

“an error occurred while processing this command. Cannot add textbox6 (Telerik.reporting.textbox) to groupHearderSection11 (Telerik.Reporting.GroupHeaderSection)”

Normally with other reports I have been able to copy and past objects between the groups. I am running version Q2 SP1

Do you know what would be causing this as I don’t really want to start the report again from scratch.

Thanks in advance

Hi Derek,

You're the first person to report such problem and we have not been able to reproduce it in our local tests with the latest official version Q2 SP1. Please provide us with a runnable project or report where the erroneous behavior can be observed and once we review it, we would be able to advise you accordingly.

Greetings,

Hi

I have found that the problem is down to the ‘keep together’ property of the grouping header. It appears that if the group you are copying from has a different 'keep together' state than the one you are pasting to then you get the error above, however, if the groups have the same 'keep together' state then things will copy and past just fine.

Not to sure if it’s a bug or just my computer???

Hi Derek,

Thank you for the clarification. Unfortunately we were not able to reproduce the problem with the new details you provided (see attached video), so there must be something specific to your project that causes the problem.

Sincerely yours,

Very odd,
Its not really a problem now as i have just changed the property and it seemed to fix it. If i get any more info about the problem or it happens again i will let you know but for now it seems to be fine.

Thanks for your replies.
