Hi Arjun,

In most cases this exception is thrown because of a bug in the language compiler. Quote from Microsoft's support page related to this exception:
"For example, the compiler may perform one of the following errors:
  • Issue a value that has no matching MSIL instruction
  • Try to branch into the middle of another multibyte instruction
  • Try to create more local variables than the .NET Framework supports"
However, can you please provide me with an isolated project that reproduces the issue? This will allow me to test it locally and investigate further what is causing the reported behavior.

In the mean time you can try to manually delete the "bin" and "obj" folders from your project(s) and then Cleand and Rebuild the entire solution. Also, you can try to check if this exception is reproducible on another machine, with another version of VS and with another control of our UI for WPF suite.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Regards,
Martin

According to the below bug report related to Visual Studio - turning off Intellitrace has been worked for most people.  That did the trick for me.
