Dropdown in edit mode popup doesn't fire "change" on first change when the selectedValue is null

I'm trying to figure out why this behavior is changed on the last kendo release .. with no luck
The strange behavior that was working perfecly on kendo 2014.3.1411 and which is changed in vers. 2015.1.318
is the follow:

when I have a dropdown list in a popup edit mode which can be nullable and I manually change the value from the defaultValue to another value,
the first time the dropdown doesn't fire anything, all the other tiimes it fires correctly.

click on New Record
change once "CategoryID" (doesn't fire)
chenge it once again (it fires)

with old versions

is this a bug ?

Hello Simone,

The described issue is a known bug that slipped in Q1 2015 release of Kendo UI. It is already addressed and the latest internal build available for download from your Telerik account includes the fixes.

I'm getting this bug now, trying to use kendo-drop-down-list with Angular.

Using Kendo UI 2016.3.914, so why am I getting this problem if you supposedly fixed it??!!

Kendo UI is REALLY STARTING TO TICK ME OFF as an Angular developer.

Hello Clint,

The bug reported in #623 is fixed and has been verified by several clients that has experienced it before.

If you are experiencing something similar, probably something else is incorrect. Could you provide a repro demo that demonstrates the issue? This could help us to narrow the problem down much faster and provide a solution quicker.
