Hi, I'm just getting to grips with Chartview for Winforms and wondered what the best way is to allow someone to draw shapes and lines on a chart, and have the ability for those shapes to zoom and pan with the chart? I saw a few posts suggesting that it might be possible to use RadDiagram together with Chartview to achieve this?

Any helpful reposnses would be grately appreciated.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for writing.

RadChartView provides means for visualizing data in different series types. The control does not allow painting or drawing by the end users. More information is available here: Overview, Series Types

RadDiagram, on the other hand, provides rich capabilities for diagramming shapes. The shapes can be defined also at run-time by the end users. You can find additional information in the following documentation resources: Overview, Features.

Please let me know if you need additional information. In case you are trying to create some custom interaction between the two controls please get back to me with more details about your scenario.

I hope this information was useful. Should you have further questions please do not hesitate to write back.
