I was looking for an example on how to create a gallery at the ribbonbar and so i looked at the telerik example ribbonbar/First Look.
Opening of the gallery looks ok and when i don't move the mouse over a gallery element the closing of the gallery looks also ok.
But when i move the mouse over a gallery element (and it is zoomed) or when i click on a gallery element then when the gallery is closing there is some part of the border left over and is not removed from the screen.
I use the Q2'09 release of the telerik controls.

Ramius

Thank you for your interest in RadRibbonBar and we appreciate your time for reporting this problem.
Actually I could not reproduce your case. I tested on several machines and it all worked fine. Can you do the tests on other machine(s). There are customers who experienced similar issues with RadTreeView. In their cases the problem was caused by the video card. That is why we highly recommend you update the drivers of your video card. If the issue persists after updating, write us back.
I will be glad to help you with creating of your Gallery.
All the best,

Hello Peter,
the graphics card i use is a little bit old. It is a Nvidia GeForce 7900 GTX.
I use the newest Nvidia driver: Nvidia Forceware 190.38 WHQL XP.
My operating system is windows XP with servicepack 3.
The issue is still there.

Thank you for the provided details. I will ask you for more information that will help us reproduce this. For example:
• Try your application on another machine where the brand, model, and drivers of the video are different from the one on the problematic machine. What is the result?
• Do you see these problems on several machines or just one? If one, what is the software and PC/video card configuration?
• Are you using remote desktop? If yes, what are the connection settings? Also, what other services (software programs) are running on the host and remote machines?
Also could you provide a screenshot of the issue. I am looking forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
Peter

Hello Peter,
i played a little more around with this demo and found out that the drawing issue happens only when the telerik examples window is NOT maximized. When the window is maximized then there is no drawing issue.
I don't use a remote desktop.

Hello Vassil,
i tried it on an other machine. The problem exists not on that machine.
I see the problem only on one machine (but i can test it only on two machines).
As the problematic machine is my development machine there is a lot of software on it.
Exists a tool which i can use to provide you with the information you need ?

Hello Peter,
changing windows theme did not solve the problem.
I switched off the Show Shadows under Menus option and this removed the shadow of the rad gallery and so the problematic shadow wasn't visible anymore.

Ramius
The Menu Shadows is rendered by the OS and we do have control on it. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have other questions.
