We are migrating from Crystal Reports to Telerik Reporting in our new software product.  Crystal Reports supports multiple sections for Report Header, Page Header and the Detail Section (e.g. Page Header a, Page Header b, Details a, Details b, Details c, etc.).  It doesn't look like Telerik supports this.  Can anyone tell me whether Telerik does?  And if not, is there some sort of equivalent?  I have some Crystal Reports where I conditionally show a section depending upon a specific scenario.  Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Hi Kimberly Wright,

Instead of multiple Page/Report Header/Footer or Detail sections, you can use Panels in the Detail section and set their visibility with Conditional Formatting. As to the Header/Footer section you can create and use multiple unbound groups.

We just purchased DevCraft Ultimate Developer and I am doing the same thing (converting Crystal reports) with the same issue (multiple header and detail sections).  Your response made sense.  Are there sample Telerik Reports that show how this can be done?  I am using the stand alone report designer, not the one through Visual Studio.

Thank you,
Jennifer

Hello Jennifer,

Check out the attached sample report definition that illustrates how to set up multiple detail header sections with report groups and utilize Bindings to set their visibility conditionally.

Have you tried the new visualization options in Telerik Reporting Q1 2013? You can get them from your account.
