Hi,

We want to have column resizing conditionally - so initially resizing should be enabled, then based on some condition, its should be disabled. Is this possible? If yes, can you please let know how.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Abhishek,

The desired behavior will be supported from the next official Kendo UI release, which is Q3 2014 (due in mid November). The Grid will have a setOptions() method, which will allow you to recreate the widget instance more easily by setting some new options that differ from the currently applied ones. Keep in mind that the changing the Grid settings will cause the widget to rebind.

Thanks Dimo. Looking forward to the next release.
So we want to enable/disable several column options like sort, resize, etc dynamically. But rebind won't help as we dont want data to be refreshed at that time. Is there any other way to achieve this.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Abhishek,

Recreating the Grid and rebinding it will be the only way to modify the Grid configuration on the fly.
