So I was working on my project in TFS last night. We are rebuilding reporting using Rad Reporting tools. Everything was working fine and when I log on this morning to work on my project, It seems that I can run the project in a design view any more? I have attached two pictures of the files and how they have changed and what a normal set up looks like. I am not sure for what reason I cant run a Design view on my project any more.

Any help would be appreciate, If you need any form of code to help troubleshoot let me know.

Edit: So it looks like the project screws up when I change the workspace in TFS to Local to Server - Not sure if that means anything to you guys but that is what is causing the error.

Hi Austin,

In general there is no issue for our files to be under source control and more specifically to be in the Server workspace - the Server workspace has been the only workspace up until TFS 2012 and we have never had reports regarding source control issues. Perhaps the issue lies in the fact that you changed the workspace from Local to Server. You can try checking in/out the changes in your project to see if you will get rid of the issue. Additionally you can try excluding the reports from the source control, change the workspace and after that re-add them.

Some similar weird thing was happening to me too I had a bunch of non-working reports (I think somebody in the team did some TFS branching). What I did is, just pick one of the randomly disabled (not being able to be in design mode) and selected "Exclude From Project". And then Adding the report back again. I did this ONLY FOR ONE project, and then the rest of non-working reports worked just fine. Don't ask me why.
