Hello,

found this

http://www.telerik.com/forums/2d-barcodes/page/2
http://www.telerik.com/forums/feature-request---2d-barcode-support

But it seems there is still no DataMatrix support? Any ETA if Reporting will ever support this?
We need it for a customer, so i have to decide if Telerik Reporting is the right product for this case.

regards

Hello Dietmar,

The types supported by the Telerik Reporting Barcode item are listed in this help article where the supported matrix barcode types are QR Code and PDF417.

In case, the type you are looking for is not listed you can log a feature request into our feedback portal and describe the exact functionality you are looking for in Barcode item.

Hello,

DataMatrix is DataMatrix. Don't understand how your answer could help me. My question was not answered. :-(

DataMatrix: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_Matrix
Feedback Portal: https://feedback.telerik.com/Project/162/Feedback/Details/136744-data-matrix-barcode (already there started in 2014!)

Hello Dietmar,

The logged request is under review at the moment. The new features are selected for development based on the demand from the community and if the feature gets more votes we can consider its implementation sooner.

Note, that even if the feature status changes to "Approved" we cannot provide the exact date when it will be implemented. As we are operating in a very dynamic environment the priorities of the features get shifted sometimes.

Hi,

to make it clear: Not the answer what i expected.

The feature request was submitted over two years ago and it is still marked as "under review". No DataMatrix support means for me: i cannot use your reporting solution to develop exceptional reports for my customers. In the end i am not satisfied with this, because i have to look for another reporting solution. That implies also that i have to start to mixing my development basis with other libraries other then teleriks. That means more complexity, more time wasting, more costs...

DataMatrix is a default used code in industrial environment. Maybe it's better to consider that a feature in stock which possible customers need.

Hi Dietmar,

Please note that the tasks are selected for development based on multiple criteria: demand, importance, required and available resources, severity.

It is not in our short-term plans to add this feature but in case there is more interest from the community for this feature we can consider scheduling it for implementation earlier. Thus, my recommendation is to give your vote for this feature.
