Hello,
I'm trying to add a dashed horizontal line and a dashed vertical line to a report.
First question: how can I have the line at the top of the page (this is a sub-report)?
Second question: is it possible to customize the dashing?
I have lines that are 0.5pt width and the line looks almost like a solid line, excepted when looking with a magnifier!
Best regards
Hi Patrick,
You may test setting the BorderStle property of the header to Dashed. After that, you can also set the BorderWidth property to a higher value. Another option is to use the Shape item. You can set its LineStyle to Dashed and again increase the LineWitdth property.
I hope this information will help you. Please, let me know if I can assist you further.
Hi Neli,
I've tried to use a border and set it's style to Dashed: the display is the same.
I fon't want to have a wider line, but a line that looks dashed and not as a solid line.
Hi Patrick,
I have tried setting the BorderStyle -> Top property in our Barcodes report and below you can see the outcome.
Is it possible to send us a screenshot of the desired result? You can also provide us with your report, so we can inspect it locally.
Hello Neli,
Please find attached how it looks in the WPF viewer, with a 100% and a 200% zoom.
When printing, it looks like a solid line.
Sorry, but I don't want to give the report in a public forum...
Regards
Hi Patric,
Can you please test modifying the sample project that I attached? You can also consider opening a new support thread where you can uploaded the report.
Hi Neli,
You've set the border width to 3pt, I've set it to 0.5pt and added an horizontal line and a pane, just looks how it is now.
Hi Patrick,
Thank you for your update.
I was able to reproduce the problematic behavior. Indeed in the Standalone designer, the outcome looks as expected:
but not in the WPF viewer:
For that reason, I logged a bug in our system - Dashed border/shape is not rendered correctly in the WPF Report Viewer and as a token of gratitude for reporting this issue to us, I updated your Telerik points.
As a workaround, you may test using a picture.
Hi Neli,
It's not only in the WPF report viewer, but also when printing from the WPF viewer.
Hi Patrick,
Thank you for the additional information. I will add it to the bug report.
