Hi Lee,
Keep in mind that the ProgressBar - First Look demos uses the Windows8 theme of our controls. In order to have this animation in your ProgressBar you can change its theme to Windows8. The old mechanism that was used for setting a theme was the StyleManger. However, now we have a new Implicit Styles mechanism which we highly encourage our clients to use instead of the StyleManager because it has well known advantages that you can see in Implicit Styles versus StyleManager blog post.
