I am looking for a way to add some kind of custom item to a gridview, much like there is a filter item at the top of the grid. I want to add a custom item (basically a row with some buttons in each column) that will stay at the top of the grid like the filter item.
Do you have any recommendations for how to do this?
Thanks.

Hello David,
Thank you for this question.
Currently, it is not possible to add a custom row in RadGridView. We admit this is a good piece of functionality and we will consider implementing it in a future version of RadControls for WinForms.
Thank you for this suggestion.
If you have other questions, do not hesitate to write me.
Kind regards,

Well apparently it was supposed to be added to the May 15 2007 version: http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-mbtmd.aspx
Did that modification slip off the list? Can you let me know where this fits in your release schedule? Seems like Evtim seemed to think the feature was either already done, or was a quick add as the release containing it was a mere week away.
Failing that, do I get source code when I finally buy Telerik? Seems like it should not be something that is super hard for me to add myself - it should be pretty much the same as adding a filter item or a new row item.
Or, can someone there think of a way to achieve what I and the OP (Seedy) from the other thread want to do?
Thanks

Hi David,
Thank you for this question.
This feature was implemented in an earlier release of RadGridView. After a major refactoring of grid's data layer, we removed some rarely used features. We will consider adding this feature in Q2 2008 SP1.
As to the source code, if you have purchased a Subscription license, you will receive it as part of the package.
I hope this helps. Do not hesitate to write me if you have other questions.
Sincerely yours,
Jack
