I need the ability to have two vertical cursors that the user can drag around on a line chart.  I also need to be able to programmatically move correponding cursors on other line charts to follow the movement of the cursors by the user on the "master" line chart.  It's looking like this isn't possible.  If there is a way please let me know.

Thanks!

Hello Dave,

Thank you for writing.

Would you please elaborate more on the appearance and behavior of the cursors? Should they look as TrackBalls or Tooltips? Should the cursor follow the mouse around (like TrackBall) or it should stay as selection that can be dragged? Do all charts that require cursor synchronization visualize similar data?

I am looking forward to your reply.

Greetings,

I need one or two draggable vertical cursors (they will stay in place unless the user drags them).  Chart type will only be "line" type (up to 8 series).  The application may display multiple charts and I will need to synchronize corresponding cursors on other chart with the cursor the user is dragging around on the one chart.  I will also need to grab the data values of the line series under each cursor.

If synchronization of cursors on multiple charts is not possible then another approach I may take is to plot all line series on a single chart.  Specifically, this application is plotting electrical waveforms.   Is there a way to plot line series in a "stacked" fashion with a defined fixed vertical space for each series? (I would probably have to hide the Y-axis labels but that would be acceptable).

Thanks.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for writing back.

Currently, RadChartView does support such cursors out of the box. I have added this as a feature request to our Public Issue Tracker under ID 12585. To vote for it and subscribe for its status updates follow this link: http://www.telerik.com/support/pits.aspx#/public/winforms/12585. We will do our best to implement the functionality in a future release. More votes the item receives, the higher priority it gets in our TODO list.

Thank you for your request. You Telerik points have been updated.

All the best,
