Hello Ayyappan,

We are not aware of such issue with the Editor. Here's the Editor in a dojo example: https://dojo.telerik.com/iWuCAXoC

Could you modify it accordingly, so that it demonstrates the described issue with the cursor, and link it back for further review?

Hi Saby,

Here's the previously linked dojo example modified to include an ordered list: https://dojo.telerik.com/iWuCAXoC/7

What I've tried is:

1. Put the mouse cursor after "milk"
2. Press Enter key
3. Press Backspace key

There is no error after following these steps, so could you list step by step the user actions that lead to the error?

Hi, when I add the component to my textarea and paste a list from Word:

1. When entering, the numbering does not continue

2. After the Backspace key, the pointer is lost and when typing a word, it is cut off.

Hi Saby,

So the issue is exhibited on pasting a list from Word. Is your list hierarchical?

I've tried with the following list:

  1. Aaa
  2. bbb
  3. ccc
  4. ddd

which I copied from a Word document and it worked as expected. Note that its number format is "1." instead of "1)" as in your screenshot. The latter is not supported currently in the Editor, and this is valid for other list number formats, "III." for example.

Hi,

understood regarding the type of numbering.
What happened to me recently:
1. When copying a text with several levels of indentation, when saving comes out correctly, but when re-entering the editor the last indent has been lost and everything has been aligned to the left (hay limites en el nivel de indentacion?).
2. There are occasions where when copying a list it is inserted as double numbering.
Please, I would appreciate your help with these cases.

Sometimes a correct copy and sometimes not. But change the color of the letter. It is the same word document. And the same when editing the last level of indentation is lost.

Saby,

I've tried copy/pasting a multi-level list:

  1. Aaa
    1. Level2-1
    2. Level2-2
      1. Level3
  2. Bbb
  3. Ccc
    1. Level2-1
      1. Level3

And it was displayed as expected, without number duplication.

Send us an exemplary Word file that contains a list that causes the issues you describe for further testing.

Hello Saby,

I was able to reproduce the numeration duplication issue and logged a Bug Report item in our Feedback Portal on your behalf: https://feedback.telerik.com/kendo-jquery-ui/1492974-editor-duplicated-list-numeration-when-pasting-from-word

You can track it, to get notified when the bug gets fixed.

I've updated your Telerik points for reporting this issue.

With regard to the indentation issue (the screenshot with text "Pre-Treatment Structure...") I was unable to reproduce it. Let us know whether only part of the list should be copied and pasted, in order to replicate the problematic behavior. If you can record a short video showing what exactly you do to get the result shown in the screenshot, it would help us reproduce it.

Hi Ivan.

I send you a video with some cases found:

1. The letter color of the text pasted in the textarea is changed.

2. The indentation is not respected with the change of the numbering, from numbers to letter or bullet.

3. The space of the alignments is not the same.

4. Duplication of numbering. The indentation is not respected in these cases.

I appreciate your answer in advance

Hi Saby,

I have replied in the Feedback Portal thread regarding the duplicated list numeration when pasting from Word. Please find the link to it below:

Regarding the background color and the indention issues, I used the provided word document in your reply of 27 October. The issues are not replicated on my end. You could see a screencast here. Please let me know if I am missing something.

Looking forward to your reply.
