Convert DevExpress reports to Telerik reports

Hi Telerik,

We are using Telerik Reporting in HTML5 application. Currently we have some DevExpress report templates and want to load them in Telerik Reporting Viewer. Is there any tool available to convert DevExpress report templates to Telerik format? I searched the internet and there seemed to be a tool named XtraReports report converter. Can you tell me how to get and install it?

Hi Kevin,

We provide a converter for XtraReports, it is built for the version 8.1.6.0. Therefore, if you are using DevExpress of a newer version it will be required to downgrade reports to 8.1.6.0 version first.
To start the conversion, invoke the Import Report Wizard available in both report designers.

Is this converter available in Telerik Report Designer free trial? I installed Telerik Report Designer R1 2018 (free trial) but no XtraReports converter seemed available there in Import Report Wizard. I attached the screen shot for your reference. Should I get the licensed version or install some extra add-on to use it?

Hi Kevin,

The option to convert XtraReports will only appear when the product of the version that is supported by Telerik Reporting is installed on the machine. If you use a newer version of DevExpress is will be required to downgrade first to version 8.1.6.0.

There will be no limitations for the trial version.
