Is is possible to control the placement of the radial menu item inside the radial menu? We would like to be able to create an item but not have it take the first available slot.

I don't want to answer for Telerik but I had a similar question. I don't think you can skip "slots", but you can change the StartAngle value to give the appearance of this.

Hello Adam,

Currently, the radial menu API doesn't expose a mechanism to re-arrangement its items. But you can try the StartAngle property as Ed suggested and let me know if it works for you.
