Just uninstalled all Telerik controls and installed the Control Panel. After downloading the latest version of WPF controls VS 2010 Extension Manager informs me an update is available. The version from the Control Panel is 2012.2.606.0, the VS Extensions version available is 2012.2.709.0.

Will the Control Panel eventually update? What happens if I let the Extension Manager update?

Thanks.

Update... I've now installed Silverlight and Asp.net Ajax and they are indicating updates as well.

Hi Phil,

Thank you for contacting us.

The updates you have noticed in the Visual Studio Extension Manager are related to our Visual Studio Extensions (more info) and the updates you get prompted about in the Control Panel are related to the actual products.

Even though we include our latest Visual Studio Extensions in the products' main installation packages (which you get updates for in the Control Panel), we sometimes release fixes for our Visual Studio Extensions independently (through the Visual Studio Online Gallery).

I would recommend getting our latest and greatest Visual Studio Extensions updates as you see them available. The alternative is just waiting for the next service pack release for each of the products you are using.

Let me know if that helps.
