For the last couple weeks I've been working on creating an "Explorer" module for DotNetNuke. It's pretty much to the point I can give you guys a Live Demo to play around with.

Currently it utilizes the r.a.d.Treeview, r.a.d.Grid and r.a.d.Callback controls. The features are pretty simple at the moment, but over the next couple weeks I'll be adding just about everything I can think should be in such a module.

Anyways, I'm anxious to hear what you guys think about this. Also, it will be released completely free of charge for all current Telerik customers who already own the 3 controls it uses. I'm also going to extract the core of the module for a non-dnn version for everybody else to use.

I installed Sharp Reader the other day because I wanted to subscribe to telerik's RSS feed.

I've quickly become addicted to using RSS for all my favourite blogs.

Since I'm new at this, I was wondering what other people are using as an RSS client.

Hello,
I Think it's very good if can add link of pages  to Forum tree. current way of navigation is difficult and expensive for Telerik traffic.
For example i need go to RadGrid Section of forum from current page. I must do 2 step:
1. I must go to Forums home.
2. Now i can click on RadGrid Forum title.

I think we can simply remove step one, if you add links to forums tree.
Excuse me english isn't my native language

Best regards

Hi, we have a large application that uses most of your controls. It seems that whenever we do an upgrade, there are issues regarding compatibility with the new version. Why are your upgrades not backward compatible, or at the very least clearly documented on the necessary changes?
We just upgraded to the Q1 2006 version and find out that you have eliminated or changed the interface to the radCombobox and many changes to radTabstrip. In addition the reference to radMultiPage can not be found. This is very frustrating.

Too much work and no time for a vacation on the Maldives?

Now, you can get great sun tan while doing your favorite thing: developing powerful web applications with r.a.d.controls

Just thought I'd point out that when a thread is removed from the forums and people had subscribed to it, there is no way to become unsubcribed at that point and the link in the "My Subscriptions" does nothing (which makes sense because it shouldn't go anywhere, but I believe confucius said that a link that doesn't work shouldn't exist).  I think you might want to include a quick little unsubcribe icon in a new column in the "My Subscriptions" list anyway - this would make multiple unsubscriptions easier (since most people would likely do unsubscriptions in bulk when they enter "cleanup" mode).

No real hurry, just thought I'd point it out.

Hello telerik,

I have a suggestion wich I hope you will be thinking over:

At this moment I'm working in Kathmandu, Nepal. I tried to download the r.a.d.controls suite Q1 2006, but it failed over and over again. Sometimes the connections are so bad, that the download stops and then I have to start again to download 116MB over a max. 56k internet connection. It takes for hours.

So, if there was like a Download Manager (like the one from Microsoft) then after the connection I could continue download the file I was currently downloading...

Maybe you have other suggestion or you could think about it. I hope to hear a response, so I'll wait for that before trying again. I have to pay for each MB, so it is going to be an expensive download :)

Thanks,
Daniel

I just had to take a moment to share that I (finally) started digging into RadCallback over the past week and a half, and I couldn't be happier.

I've put it off for quite a while, but with Q12006 and some free time, I decided to dig in.  I have since gone overboard with the new versions by replacing several image navigation systems with TabStrips, implented some toolbars with RadToolbar, and Ajaxified several areas of a large application for things like saving records and user management interfaces.

The interaction and compatabilty between controls from Telerik has been outstanding.  Although I have read about the interaction many times over, I was so impressed to be able to see it first hand.

An example: I took an existing RadMenu that had a group for "selecting an option" where on Postback the leftimage would either be blank, or a checkbox to indicate which option was selected.  The options on the RadMenu would initiate a postback.

I switched this up for those menu items by having them fire a callback using a generic callback control instead of posting back.  I know it is trivial for those of us that use RadControls, but I still can't believe how easy it was to just add the RadMenu to the controls to update and everything simply worked.  The data on the screen was updated and the RadMenu now had the correct checkmark images in the right place.

Anyway, I'm sure this all second nature for those of you using RadCallBack already, but I had to share my experiences with those who have not taken the plunge yet.

Yes, there are some issues with validation, but I think I've gotten around those pretty well at this point.

RadControls has gone from an excellent suite of controls to a simply amazing suite of controls.  I don't think I could ever develop without them again!

Keep up the great work!
