Hello Mayank,
Dimo
Telerik
We may implement frozen columns for some of the following Kendo UI releases, e.g. Q3 2013, although this is unofficial and has not been decided yet. You can keep an eye on our public roadmap.

Its great to see that this will be coming in next kendo releases.
But could you some how guide us, to allow us to apply some jquery script or object model class which we can extend for the required customization for our existing kendo grids, We have already implement this in several pages.
Will be highly obliged with your advise.

Hi Mayank,
Dimo
Telerik
Frozen columns is a very complex feature and it is not realistic for me to provide guidelines how to implement it as a workaround.

The Q3 2013 roadmap doesn't list this frozen columns. Q4 2013?

Hello Peter,
Dimo
Telerik
Q4 2013 releases no longer exist in our release cycles. We will probably introduce frozen columns in Q1 2014.

Dimo,
Can you direct us to the roadmap or announcement for this future release. Our development shop is very interested in left and right frozen columns for the Kendo Grid.

Hi Jeff,
You can see the roadmap URL above, but there is still no official announement for Q1 2014 yet. You can check the page from time to time for updates.
Please note that we will implement frozen columns on the left only.

Dimo
