Color picker doesn't work with legacy telerik themes

We are migrating our  application from Telerik MVC extension to Kendo UI.  But with Telerik legacy themes Color picker is not working. With Kendo themes this is working fine.

Hello Balu,

The ColorPicker was never released as an MVC extension, so it isn't part of the legacy themes. As noted in the documentation, these themes are provided for migration purposes -- after the application has been migrated, consider switching the theme to one of the official ones and including the color picker.

Many of our customers are accustomed in using telerik legacy themes.  so does that mean using legacy themes would prevent from using newer controls that are available with Kendo? Is there a way to incorporate the styles into Legacy Themes as well?

Hello Balu,

Legacy themes are for legacy controls, and they are there to allow you a gradual transition to the Kendo UI API. Afterwards, the recommended approach is to start using the standard themes, or create a theme using the Kendo UI ThemeBuilder. Either way, do not rely on legacy themes for new development.
