    Hi,
we've got a display issue of the chart tooltips in IE 9 that I cannot explain. I've attached a screenshot. We paint a chart within a container and when hovering over a segment the tooltip overlaps the border of the container but looses its background. I'm looking for an explanation for this behaviour in IE 9 (Chrome and FF look perfect).

Does anybody have a clue what this is caused by?

    Cheers, Heike

    Remark:
Just found there's an issue, too, in Chrome (2nd screenshot). The tooltip is partly hidden by a neighbour container. Enhancing the tooltip's z-index did not help.

    Hi Heike,

I am afraid that the provided information is not sufficient enough in order to determine where exactly the problem comes from. Is it possible for you to provide a small but runnable jsBin which which isolates the issue? In this way I would be able to examine your case in details and provide you with a concrete recommendations.

On a side note, could you please confirm that you are using the latest official Kendo UI release (2013.1.319 or higher). I am asking because the screen boundary detection feature of the tooltip was added in that version.
If you are using an outdated Kendo UI version, please update it and let me know if the problem still persists.

Regarding the issue which you experienced on Google Chrome, could you please test it with the Canary build. I believe that the problem is caused by a bug in the browser which is already fixed in the latest Canary build and should be published officially soon.
