Is it possible to configure the behavior of sorting when setting a grid to sortable? Specifically I want to sort the data in the column without respect to case so that, for example, "angle" appears before "Apple" instead of after "Zebra"?

Is there any plans to add the ability to modify this default behavior in the future? It seems that for now, I'll need to go with another grid.

I worked out a way to add case insensitive sorting on Kendo UI grid.

You can view my solution here: http://sympletech.com/how-to-enable-case-insensitive-sorting-on-kendo-ui-grid/

I used version Q2 2013 (2013.2.716) to get case - insensitive sorting, but there is still case - sensitive sorting present. It sorts once in case - insensitive order, second time reverses it and third time again it switches back to case - sensitive sorting. How can I completely get rid of case - sensitive sorting?
