Hi,
I am only able to move textboxes in the report designer by selecting them and moving the arrow keys (which is very tedious).  If i try to drag the textbox to the desired location using my mouse it doesn't work.  I have reopened visual studio several times and tried the same thing in reports I have designed in the past, still no luck..  Any ideas on what would cause this?  I am using version: Q1 2012, thanks in advance for any help!

Hello Chrissy,

We have not been able to reproduce such a problem. Generally the Visual Studio report designer can get sluggish whenever you have over 100 report items in it, but still the moving and resizing of items functions even if it is a bit slow. If you get this problem even on an empty report with a single TextBox item for example, then there is something else wrong on your end. Can you try moving a Windows Forms TextBox in a Windows Forms designer and see whether you get the same problem?

Any information you find relevant would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,
tried moving a Windows Forms TextBox in a Windows Forms designer and have the exact same problem.  I had a coworker try it on their machine and everything worked as expected...  After comparing Visual Studio versions it looks like I am missing some hotfixes, installing those now - hopefully that was the problem.
