Whatever I try, the standalone Report Designer always displays "No reports available" in the "Select Reports to Import" dialog.

I tried to keep it as simple as possible:

  • Create a new project in Visual Studio (Telerik Report Library)
  • Add a blank report
  • Add a couple of TextBoxes
  • Visual Studio report preview looks fine
  • Try to import DLL in Standalone Designer
  • "No reports available"

Hello Erik,

We have improved the Standalone Report Designer Import Wizard error handling in the latest internal build 13.2.19.1011. The internal build is available in your accounts download page.

Generally make sure that all third party assembly dependencies are available in the same directory as the Standalone Report Designer executable. Additionally verify that the Standalone Report Designer is the same version as the used Telerik.Reporting assembly in the Visual Studio project.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Peter
