I have been trying very hard to mimmic the bubble bar component but it fails for me each time. I also downloaded the samples that were uploaded by the telerik team but that fails for me as well, with the latest build of Telerik Components and Vs 2010. Also the samples provided with the telerik installer were of no help either.

@Telerik Team : if you could post a sample just like you did earlier targetting the latest release of Telerik controls and Vs 2010 , it would be nice and sweet.

Thanks  and Regards

Hello Gagan,

Thank you for contacting us.

We decided to discontinue the support of the separated examples, because they duplicated the examples shipped with our controls.

Could you please share with us the difficulties that you have experienced while trying to run the BubbleBar component outside our Examples? What steps did you perform in order to get the component out of the Examples application? This information will allow us to think of possible solutions that will allow you to integrate our examples in your applications easily. Your feedback is highly appreciated.

Generally, you should be able to find the BubbleBar files in the Integration >> BubbleBar folder of the VS 2010 Examples solution (Start >> All Programs >> Telerik >> RadControls for WinForms [version] >> Open Sample Solution in Visual Studio). After you add these files to your customer project, build it in order to get the BubbleBar component in the VS Toolbox. Then you should simply drag and drop BubbleBar to your form and fill it with RadButtonElement through the Edit Items menu item of the BubbleBar's ActionMenu. Please note that the initial ScaleTranform of the RadButtonElement should be set to an appropriate value. In the case of the BubbleBar in our Examples, this value is (0.65, 0.65).

For your convenience, I performed the described steps and attached the result sample project. Feel free to modify it according your specific needs.

Kind regards,
Nikolay

Hello,

I know this is a very old thread, but I was wondering if there's any chance of getting a working vb.net version of the bubble bar...

Years ago, when I first used Telerik, I created a quite nice menu bar, but it no longer works with the new controls and I'd very much like to get it working again if at all possible.

Thanks in advance

Hello Johnny,

Thank you for writing.

Please find attached a sample VB.NET project. Note that the provided sample code snippet is applicable for the specified 2010.3 10.1109 version.

Feel free to use our Code Converter for conversion from VB to C# and vice versa.

I hope this information helps. Should you have further questions, I would be glad to help.
