Are the Kendo UI Dataviz components supported on IE7/IE8. As far as I can tell, they seem to be using SVG for rendering, which is not supported by IE7/IE8. I tried this example: http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/area-charts/index. It does not work on IE7 (emulation mode on IE11). Surprisingly it works in IE8 (emulation mode) although IE8 does not support SVG - I don't understand that part!

Ok, it appears that for IE7/IE8 the charts are drawn using VML. However, there must be some other issues that are preventing the examples to work in IE7.

Hello,
Some security settings in IE7/8 can interfere with the VML rendering.

I checked my "Binary and script behaviors" setting. It is already set to "Enable". So that's not the issue. Also since it is working in IE8 emulation, there must be some other issue in IE7 emulation. A screen shot of my screen is attached. Note that it only shows text, which is sqashed into one line.

Hello,
The emulation settings are not supported as they do not emulate the real browsers faithfully.
The demo suite also has some issues with older IE versions on its own. We're working on those.
My recommendation is to test in a standalone page by using a virtual machine, e.g. the ones provided by Microsoft.
