I'm sure I'm missing something simple here, but I am trying to develop a site for a British based group and I'm trying to display a set of values in GBP. I have included the culture file and when I display currency, I see Â£20.00. I've spent some time looking and people are are saying that the character encoding is set wrong, changing it to UTF-8 does nothing. I tried to modify the culture file to include £ instead of the actual symbol placed in there, but it's encoding that so I get £ put on the page.

Hi Terry,

The pound currency symbol seems to display as expected in this demo page:
Does the demo page works as expected on your side? If you inspect the page source you will notice that the character encoding is set to "utf-8". How your case differs from the demo page?

Fixed. When I look at your version of the page, I see £10.00.

It was the character encoding. I didn't realize that that was one of the features held onto by the browser, so reloading the page after changing the character encoding doesn't do anything. I thought I had tried in a different browser previously, obviously not.

Thank you.
