I recently started using bower (http://bower.io/) to manage my external packages (github) it makes update very easy. (leaflet, pouchdb, etc.) I see there is a bower package for the kendo core, but I am a longtime (since your first version) subscriber and I tend to use kendo.all.min.js.

Our projects are for offline use, so we cannot use internet urls for download of javascript.

Any chance of getting a bower package for Kendo Web? Mobile?

Yes, I know about https://github.com/kendo-labs/bower-kendo-ui , but it seems to be only the core UI stuff.

Hi,

We don't currently provide a secure Bower endpoint for Kendo UI Professional, but here are a few workarounds...

  1. Create a local git repo containing licensed download kendo UI in the bower directory and only permit this file to be committed to the app repo. And tell bower.json where to find this one repo, locally (I.e. A local endpoint, i.e., a folder that's a Git repository.). All global bower repo’s available from global repository are never committed to App Git repo.
  2. Place a licensed version of kendo UI in a private Github repo and pull it in with bower. Of course,  all dev team will have to have access to private Github repo (e.g. Install Private Github Repos with Bower)

Please make sure that you request this private Bower capability on UserVoice so we can gauge the demand for such a feature and prioritize it correctly.

I posted the request to user voice.

But unless I am missing something, your solution above does not solve my issue as a developer. What I want to do is have a quicker way to update my commercial license of the KendoUI (web complete). Copying new releases to a private GIT repository is as much work as copying it to my machine.

[Your telerik upgrade wizard does not work with our NTLM corporate proxy firewall]. I get no help from your tech support on this.

I meant the Control Panel tool that is supposed to upgrade my software.

I saw your UserVoice request.  I voted for the Bower package as well.

In the meantime, we don't have such functionality.  The installer simply upgrades your Visual Studio templates or Kendo UI Version, but it is still manual.  If you are having issues with that installer, please open a ticket on that issue so that we can get the installer working for you.

Actually I do have an issue ticket for the ControlPanel. But it has never been resolved in over a year.

I don't know why, but I cannot type anything into the textbox for the trouble ticket form. (I tried both Chrome and Firefox) I have never seen this behavior at any other site.

I don't know why you are trying to connect to facebook, but that site is certainly blocked by our I.T. department.

Hi Yechezkal,

Thank you for contacting us.
The RadEditor field depends on loading of certain resources and scripts.
Could you please confirm that the Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd script is loaded (Please see the attached screenshot). It will be very helpful, if you could please send us screenshots or information about all loaded scripts you can see in the console under Network->Scripts. 
The described behaviour could also be caused by an add-on. Could you please provide us details of the add ons you use?

BTW, I don't think the issue with the Telerik support request is a problem with add-ins. I get the same javascript errors with IE11, Firefox and with Chrome.
