Hello
I have a report with a pageheader-section, detail-section and a pagefooter-section. In the detail-section I have a table. I have a border around every section to frame in the report into my website.
When I look at my report in the HTML-preview everything looks great, but when I use the other preview-button (I think it is img rendering) my report have a big empty gap between the end of the detail-section and the beginning of the pagefooter-section .I want my border to continue all the way down to my pagefooter. In other words I want my detail section to continue all the way down to my pagefooter. Please help me with this annoying designerror.
/Emil

Hi Emil,

This is by design as the Html has no concept for physical pages, while the PDF is a page oriented format (more info in Design Considerations for Report Rendering). There is no direct answer to your question as what you're after is a WYSIWYG solution which is inherent to document creation software, while the report is not such software. A report uses template rules and renders data according to those rules on every page
of the report. You can find more info on what a report is and is not in our Reporting White Paper.
With that being said, if you're aiming for a single page type of form (DataSource has a single datarow or report is not bound at all), then you can probably adjust the detail section to stretch as much as needed with appropriate height. But if this is a report that would generate numerous pages, then such solution would not be possible and not meant to work at all.

Sincerely yours,
