Batch editing tabbing defect in ie8

Hi,

To reproduce this problem, please take the following steps.

1) Load the batch editing demo at http://demos.kendoui.com/web/grid/editing.html in IE8.
2) Click the first product name "Chai" so that "Chai" is now an editable textbox.
3) Press the tab key, or rapidly press the tab key in succession.

Expected result:
Next field in column (unit price) is editable and gets focused. This behavior can be seen in chrome.

Actual result:
Table loses focus, first control on page is focused instead.

This issue is already fixed in the latest internal build of KendoUI which is available for download from your account at telerik.com.

Hi Vladimir,

Could you please let me know which lines of the source this was fixed in? This issue is urgent for us and we do not want to use the internal build in production.

We can instead apply a patch to the last official release. If you do not want to share the source code on this forum please email it to me privately.

Bacilly It's not possible to provide such patch for older versions of KendoUI as such update can break current functionality and I would suggest to upgrade to the latest internal build (latest internal builds are passed all automated tests that are used for testing the official release).

I hate to piggy back on this, but I was experiencing the same issue, but the latest internal build has only partially fixed the problem.

Though tabbing between cells was fixed by the latest internal build, whenever the next cell is the Delete column, it exhibits the same issue.  This is present in IE 8 for the the same demo that Murray posted.

Please let me know if this is just my configuration or if an issue is still present within kendo.

Thank you for bringing that issue to our attention - it seems that when you reach the column with the "checkbox" editor it automatically exits the edit mode and the grid loses focus. I informed our dev team about it and they are after it. Also please note that current behavior is not related to the one that Murray reported.
