Hello.

I'm having problems scanning barcodes that are printed from the silverlight viewer.  If I save a PDF out and print that, it scans just fine.

Is there a way to increase the resolution or definition of the barcode rendering?  The printed barcode from silverlight seems kind of blurry and doesn't totally match with the PDF version.   I have attached an image comparing their output.  The barcodes are 3of9.

Any ideas?

Hi Chadwick,

Thank you for the feedback. As far as the barcodes are concerned, with the current implementation in XAML rendering they are raster images, while in PDF (the non native print) they are rendered as vector graphics. We're aware of the difference in both formats, so we will see how we can improve the image quality in XAML/XPS formats.

As the fix will take some time and image quality is important for barcodes, we would suggest using the non native printing of the Silverlight viewer (UseNativePrinting=false).

Please, accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

All the best,
Steve
