Hi.

Unfortunately was not succeed finding something similar on the forum. The problem is as follows:

There are few reports which has a barcode fields within. The report being printed is trying to be scanned with the barcode scanner (motorola-symbol). Everything works fine when the value of the barcode is alphanumeric without a big amount of leading zeros. But when there are, for example, 6 leading zeros, it scans 7 of them.

The details:

Scanners tested : Motorola Symbol and few other models

Symbology being displayed: Code128, UPCA

Checksum: with/without.

NB. When scanning 123123 value barcode, everything is fine. When 0000003 (6 zeros) it scans as 00000003 (7 zeros). The scanner is barely the problem since I've tested with different devices.

Any clues or advices would be really appreciated.

Hi Oleg,

There were similar issues reported prior to Q1 2009 release and we have addressed them. Anyway we've just tested the scenario you describe and everything works as expected. Please upgrade to the latest version and let us know of the outcome.

All the best,

I'm having a similar problem with the original poster. I get an extra zero added to the front when there are an odd number of digits (eg 33 digits). The text beneath the barcode will still display 33 digits but when the scanned value will have an extra zero in front of it.

I've tried it with Code128 and EAN128 symbology, both gave me the same results. Any ideas?

Hi Charlie,

As we did not find any downloads of Telerik Reporting in your account, we cannot be sure which version you're using. As specified in our last reply - please upgrade to the latest version and let us know if still having problems.

Hi Fger,

As stated in the previous post since you do not have any download of Telerik Reporting we are not aware of your current version. Therefore you will have to download the latest version and test with it. If you still experience any issues please let us know.
