Astricks appearing on barcode

Hi for some reason we have as tricks appearing at either end bar code however we just want the text. We had set it to code 128 I persumed it should be the standard of no extra characters.

Hello David,

Is this appears on all code values that you are using? Can you give a specific code where the aesthetics are appearing?

Hi Yes its going like this * 2328932 * before and after the text its not i my code it seems to be produced by the code128
