Is the coming hierarchal datasource stuff mean that KendoUI will have associations?

Hello Steven,

The hierarchical data source will not include associations in the Q2 release. Yet associations are on our radar and we are considering them for a future version of Kendo UI.

Is there any news on this? The hierarchical data source handles one-to-many relationships/associations, which is great for a tree-view, but what about others?
