We haven't been able to verify your statement and a TextBox with font Arial, size 6pt and Bold=True shows as bold in the Preview and in PDF. Can you specify is that behavior specific for one of the supported formats or anything else that could lead us to the culprit. For your convenience, we've attached the sample report used for out tests.

It appears my local Adobe install is corrupted. When I open up the PDF in Adobe it's not bolded. I had a co-worker try the pdf and it worked fine so I installed Foxit Reader and it worked fine on my machine.
Should have tried those steps before.. thanks for taking the time to help!
