Hi guys,

Has anyone successfully applied third party theme to RadGridView? How much effort involved ? This is our predicament: we really like Telerik controls especially the RadGridView but Business is kinda worried about its look being very different from the rest of non-Telerik controls. The option of migrating everythiing to Telerik controls is just not practical at this point because of schedule contraint.

So, if someone has attempted the feat we're planning, could you please provide us ideas and starting point?

Thanks
Gio

Hello,

Have you checked our documentation for more info how to restyle RadGridView?

Hi Vlad,

I've skimmed the docs. I'm just wondering if there's a third party theme out there that caters specifically with Telerik. For some of Telerik control, we're fine because they're derived from .NET controls, like the RaButton. I guess we don't have any recourse but to use Expression Blend.

Thanks.

Hi Gio,

Telerik themes are desgined to work mainly with RadControls-WPF/Silverlight. Only Telerik themes can be applied to RadControls, because they follow some specific theming mechanism different than the standard one. In addition to this our themes can be applied to some native Silverlight/WPF controls, because they are internally used by these controls. If you want to change the appearance of RadButton you may do this either by creating a simple style or by editing its template relative to a specific theme using Microsoft Expression Blend. If you want to create your own custom theme for these controls follow the rules described in our online documentation.
