I'm designing a Report in the Standalone Report Designer and consuming it in a WPF application.

I want to anchor an image to the bottom of the report details section. To this end I have set the anchoring property = bottom.

When I view the report in the WPF application in Print Preview mode the image appears half way up the page (the same is true when it is printed), however, If I switch the Report Viewer to interactive view the image appears anchored to the bottom of the page as desired.

How can I get the image to be anchored to the bottom of the page when printed ?

Hi Gareth,

The observed behavior is expected as the detail section occupies only the page area that is sufficient to accommodate all its items. That said, it may not occupy the whole physical page. You may see this if you color the background of the detail section.

One workaround is to make sure the detail section occupies the whole physical page.

Another workaround may be to display the image in a Group Footer section and anchor it to the bottom of the section. You may set the Group Footer's property PrintAtBottom to True to display it at the bottom of the page, just before the Page Footer.

Thanks for sharing the details here. I even didn't try it yet. But I hope it will work well for me.
