Always show group footer

Is it possible to always show the group footers, even if the respective group is collapsed?

Unfortunately there is no way to show the footers if the GroupRow is collapsed,I suppose that you might want to use Group Aggregates or Column Footers?

That's what I'm using at the moment. Though I would prefer to have the data in the group aggregates aligned with the columns. I thought that always showing the footer might be an OK compromise.

Hello Geoff Smith,

We have found a way to meet you r requirement by editing the template of the group row. Attached I am sending you a sample application which lets group footer be always visible when the grid is grouped.

This was exactly what I needed. I was also looking for something similar. I think this would be great if it were built-in to the RadGridView!

Hello Michael,

Regarding having group footers always displayed, including alignment of the group aggregates, I can suggest you the built-in option illustrated on the Aggregates WPF demo. 

As a side note, I would recommend you configuring RadGridView with GroupRenderMode="Flat".

The Flat mode was introduced with Q2 2013 as a completely new logic for group rendering. The result was faster scrolling and very good performance, but it fixed a lot of other issues in group mode reproducible with the old Nested mode.
