Hello Sony,
The approach from this KB article:Displaying data with alternating-style rows is completely valid for the table item as well. However you need to set the conditional formatting rule to all textbox items in the table cells and not to a row group or table row.

Hello SIlvia,
We’ve made reorganization of the reporting KB section and that is why the URL has changed. Our advise is to go to KB main page (http://www.telerik.com/support/kb/reporting.aspx) where you would see ALL KB articles by default. From the right hand side pane, you can navigate to a specific category and locate whichever KB article you’re looking for.
Sincerely yours,
Steve

Hi,
i want to apply alternating row color on table item in telerik reporting, i read all the examples, but it is still not working.
I select the table item in the report and apply conditional formatting on it as discussed in the documentation but it is not working.
Quick and to the point response will be appreciated,

After searching and searching because RowNumber() is returning always 1, I managed it by adding the next ConditionalFormatting rule:
"= RunningValue("table1",Sum(1)) Mod 2" "<>" "0"
as shown in the attached screenshot.
Finally select a different style for that rule.
I hope it this will help you :)

Hi Jose,
I am not sure why the RowNumber function is not working on the used table setup, the most probable reason is the change of the data scope due to the used table groups. For for more information on the RowNumber functionality see: Data Functions help article.

Peter
