All the rad controls and their groups are gone from my toolbox.

I spent 2+ hours repairing VS2010 and loading updates.  I then ran the telerik toolbox configurer and they were there.  Then, while changing the Text property of a Telerik control, VS crashed.  When I reopened the project the tools were all gone from the toolbox again.

What is going on?!  This is costing me a huge amount of time!

How can I fix this quickly?

I deleted

"C:\Users\<your username here>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\toolbox.tbd"

After reopening VS, all the rad controls were back in the toolbox.

Hi,

I am sorry for the trouble that you have encountered.

Visual Studio sometimes fails to load third-party components in the Toolbox due to various reasons. One of them is invalid Toolbox cache (stored in .tbd files). Resetting the Toolbox (right-click the Toolbox and click 'Reset Toolbox') or cleaning the Toolbox cache (.tbd files) usually helps with the issue.

I am glad that you managed to resolve the issue on your side. If you encounter any future problems don't hesitate to contact us again.

All the best,

Hi,

I cannot find the .tbd files in VS 2013.
I've gone though 'C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0' but no trace of the files.

I've also tried Resetting the Toolbox but to no avail.

Another solution for it please.

They were hidden files.
