I like the new Scheduler, but I do not understand some feature.

If creating an event with start="03-Jul-2013 23:30" and end="04-Jul-2013 01:30", it only appears as "isAllDay" in the slot "allDaySlot". But this is wrong, the event lasts only two hours and do not take "all day". And if you reset the flag "allDaySlot" to "false", the event is not displayed in the "day view" or "week view", but in view "Agenda" event is displayed correctly with the indication of the beginning and the end.

Telerik old RADScheduler behaves correctly for that events. It renders first part of the event in one day and the remainder of the event in another. Do you plan to add the same feature for Kendo Scheduler?

Hello Maxim,

Indeed, currently the scheduler widget does not support splitting the events which pass midnight in such way. However, we may consider implementing such feature for a future version of the widget.

Thank you for your response, Rosen.

It is sad that you do not supporting splitting of the "cross-midnight" events. Especially because old RADScheduler behaves correctly for that events. Maybe I'm wrong, but the feeling that you are repeating a functional of the widget "DHXScheduler" (DHTMLX).

SyncFusion, DevExpress and old Telerik schedulers support splitting of events on midnight.
I need to schedule film shows. And sessions that start on one day and finish the next day is usual situation. Is there some workaround to handle this use case?

Hello,

No, there is no workaround for the time being. As my colleague said we will work on improving this in a future version as we are not sure we would have the time to fit this in for the official Kendo UI Q2 release.
