Hi, just starting using Telerik Reporting as opposed to SSRS and delighted to find I can bind to OpenAccess objects. However I seem to have a problem with a table object.
I created the table using the wizard and everything worked fine. When I wanted to add an additional column to the table, I right-clicked the column header and picked Insert Columns > Right. The new column was created and displayed in the designer BUT even without binding the column to data, if I preview the report I get the error message 'An error has occured while processing Table '': Group with name 'Group1' already esists. Groups should have unique names.'
It does not seem to matter where a column is added or whether one is added to the left or right of the selected column - the error still exists. This is a very simple report with only a table in it. No grouping, sorting, nothing at all.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Jonathan

Hi,
I just downloaded the latest release of Telerik Reporting (Q3 2010) and still encounters the same error Group with name 'Group1' already esists. Groups should have unique names.'. What I did was to create a Table without using the wizard. Add a new column to the left. I haven't even defined the datasource .
Please help.
Thanks

Hi rei,
Due to changes needed for the drilldown functionality, the problem surfaced again and it would be fixed for subsequent version of the product. For the time being, please check your report for TableGroup with the following naming convention: GroupX where X is number and rename them to something more distinct or remove their names as a whole.
Best wishes,
Steve

I have the same problem after upgrading.
Could you be more specific? When I look at the table control I don't see anything about grouping. Are we suppose to go in the Telerik Intialization code and fix something?

The problem occurs when I changed any properties of any columns.

Hi Ömer,
Note that latest internal build is not the same as latest official version. The current latest official version is Q3 where this bug slipped, and the fix is available in the latest internal build which is also available for download in your account.
